5/9/2018 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM – NEW CONTENT: Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Training

Since CPI has enhanced their content, all staff will receive a full-day training for the 2017-2018 school year to learn this new material.

What has changed?

CPI has enhanced content in the their nonviolent crisis intervention classes. CPI has added additional content in the areas of verbal de-escalation and physical intervention options, as well as, added and changed key vocabulary. This includes, but is not limited to the RESPONSE continuum (supports for de-escalation), a decision-making matrix (risk analysis), the OPT out sequence (decreasing duration of most restrictive methods), and enhanced options for physical interventions (low, medium, and high options with new physical interventions).
