Student learning and behavior is impacted by trauma and today’s educators and support staff can help students develop a sense of safety at school and build emotional regulation skills. Chronic trauma has also been shown to have a significant impact on a child’s nervous system and this workshop will help educators depersonalize the child’s response and respond appropriately. Engage with other professionals in an important dialog about how to make schools more trauma sensitive.
