Extended School Year (ESY) Program 2025

The CASE Extended School Year (ESY) program will run from June 11 – July 2, 2025. We will be in session Monday through Friday, with no school on Thursday, June 19.

Program Hours:

  • PK & Kindergarten: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
  • 1st – 8th Grade: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

ESY services are provided to students from our six elementary member districts: D15, D16, D41, D44, D89, and D93. The primary goal of ESY is to help students maintain their academic, functional, and social-emotional skills over the summer. The goals are determined by each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) team.

Instruction is tailored to meet the specific needs of students based on their age, identified needs, and selected goals. Related services, including speech therapy, social work, and occupational therapy, are provided to all ESY participants. Additionally, students will engage in physical education (PE) led by our adapted PE teachers, and some may receive physical therapy and nursing services as outlined in their IEPs.

Students are referred to the ESY program by their IEP team, and parents will complete the registration process online. Parents will be notified in late May/early June about their child’s classroom placement and additional program details.

We look forward to another successful ESY session and the opportunity to support our students in maintaining and building upon their skills!
