After months of testing and tweaking, we’re ready for Windows 10. I have the install media, I have the will, now all I need is some guinea pigs. Let me know if you’d like to try it!

I’ve been using Windows 10 on my own work laptop for a couple of weeks now and, so far, no nasty surprises. I’ve also installed it on all of CASE’s spare laptops as well as some new laptops.

It’s fast! It boots and shuts down very quickly. And it might be my imagination but my laptop’s battery life seems better, too.

I’ve customized it so that it should feel just like your good old Windows 7. You won’t see all of the junk apps that Microsoft puts on new computers, and you’ll have Google Chrome already pinned to your task bar.

Some of you may have seen some headlines about Windows 10’s buggy October update. Those stories don’t apply to us, yet, because the only people with the October update are people who chose to install it. Microsoft won’t push out the update to all computers until, I hope, it goes a while without making any more news.

Heads up: If you have a CASE laptop, be prepared to turn it in at the end of the school year so that I can upgrade all of CASE’s computers.
